Marò’s house was built in 1870 as a shelter for oxes that grazed along the provincial road. It’s located in the Commune of Pescaglia, and more precisely in Piegaio, which is 20 minutes by car from Lucca, 35 km from Viareggio and 15 minutes from Bagni di Lucca, where you can visit the famous thermal baths. The small ancient village is an ideal place for walks across nature, infact, it’s surrounded by verdant meadows, and it’s just 10 minutes from the famous Museum of Apuanian Mountains. Just about 5 km from the village, you can find Celle di Puccini, where the great Giacomo Puccini was born and lived for a period (and where you can visit his native house and the Museum which is dedicated to him). Besides, it is possible to visit, in the close neighbourhood, the smallest theatre in the world in Vetriano, and the Museum of Castagno in Colognora.
Marò’s house, which is perfectly renewed, has maintained, for the owners’ explicit willing, the traditional atmosphere of the rustic country house, but it also has many comforts like a bath for hydromassage, hi-fi system and DVD. The whole area of the house is about 100mq and it’s distributed on two floors,2 beds one bathroom. There is also a huge veranda of about 60mq, where you can have dinner in the open air and which is also provided with a wood-burning oven. Next to the house, there are a large private garden of about 350mq, which is full of any kind of comfort, and a reserved 2-cars place.
